Bob Tux IMG_0502_edited.png

Robert Rothstein, a resident of Leisure Village of Lakewood NJ, died peacefully on January 5, 2023.  Mr. Rothstein was born on June 24, 1932, in Paterson, NJ., to Samuel and Esther Rothstein. He was married to Wilma Schwartz, loving wife for 39 years, who pre-deceased him in 1995. He is survived by his loving Life Partner Linda Adduci; by his 3 children with Wilma: Howard (Lori), Robin Faulkner (Brendan), and David; and by 5 grandsons: Ben, Samuel, Jordan, Justin and Joshua.  Bob was a combat veteran of the Korean War having served in the Navy. His career was spent as an engineer, where among his proudest achievements was the design of electronic components that went to the moon with Apollo. Bob was a lifelong athlete, starting at the Paterson YMHA and continuing for 80 years to the Senior Olympics. Golf, skiing, racquetball, volleyball, marathon running, and speed walking were just a few of his sports passions. He was active in civic life, having served in leadership roles in the Masonic Temple of Syracuse, NY., and as Board Chairman of the Original Leisure Village of Lakewood, NJ. Bob was an Emergency Medical Technician, just one of the ways he acted as caregiver to his family and community. Fondly known as the “Energizer Bunny”, he was singing karaoke and dancing with Linda right up to the end of his life.
